 COMPETITION KEY FACTS  |
| In September 2010, the U4energy portal officially launched three different competitions, aiming at enhancing energy efficiency in schools. |
| Here are some important key facts to keep in mind: |
| Eligible participants: |
- All schools (specialist, technical or otherwise) up until the end of secondary education,
- from all 27 EU Member States, Croatia, Norway, Iceland and Liechtenstein.

| When can I submit my entry/entries? |
- From April 2011 – up until midnight GMT on 16 May, 2011
|
| How can I submit my entry/entries? |
- Through an online form on the U4energy website (coming soon!)
- Entries must be submitted by a teacher/supervisor on behalf of a school
- Entries may be submitted in all official EU languages + HR & NO
- Title & representative summary must be translated in either DE/EN/FR.
- Only actions/measures implemented during the competition period will be considered eligible, i.e. September 2010 – May 2011.

| A school can submit entries for all competition categories. Teachers should consult the guidelines for participants before planning how best to integrate the U4energy competition in the school curricula. If a school is already conducting energy savings and/or involved in an energy project, then this is a great opportunity for them to be rewarded for the great work they are already doing and gain recognition at European level. |
