U4energy is a pan European wide competition on energy efficiency for schools up until secondary level across the 27 European Member States as well as Norway, Croatia, Iceland and Liechtenstein. The U4energy competition mobilises schools to take action and share their achievements in promoting energy efficient behaviour amongst students, teachers and their wider communities.
U4energy invites organisations to support and actively contribute to increasing the visibility and impact of this European initiative. By supporting U4energy you are helping Europe to achieve its ambitious climate and energy targets and to switch towards a low carbon future. | "Energy and environmental education has become one of the key actions of AEA's policy. The U4energy concept presents a good way to make educational activities attractive to young people by grounding the messages of efficiency and sustainability within games and competition, an educational methodology that is very attractive and motivational to students." Cesare Migliozzi - President of AEA |
 | "IUSES fully supports U4energy because it shares the belief that energy efficiency should be taught at school so that pupils can learn how to save energy throughout their lives. Involving students in an amusing competition means involving them in energy saving with a hands-on approach, allowing them to learn by doing how to save energy and the environment." Fabio Tomasi, Coordinator of IUSES |
 | "The Euronet 50/50 project promotes energy efficiency at schools around Europe and we think that U4energy is a great initiative to further encourage schools to achieve this goal. Therefore we want to support U4Energy and disseminate the competition among the schools of the 50/50 Network." Euronet 50/50 team, Euronet 50/50 |
