Personal Data Protection
The European Union is committed to the protection of personal data, in accordance with Regulation No.45/2001of the European Parliament and Council of 18 December 2000 "on protection of individuals with regard to processing of personal data by Community institutions and bodies and free movement of such data"(PDF).

Information collection
To serve its users as effectively as possible, the U4energy portal collects and stores data (name, surname, school’s details) and email addresses of teachers and educators registered in the U4energy initiative. Such information will be stored for a maximum period of 3 years before being deleted from the server. Anonymous aggregated statistics are collected monthly to monitor user activity on the portal. Users may at any time change the data submitted upon login to the U4energy portal.
Opt out
Users may delete their account at any time or have their email address updated or removed from our data base by contacting us.
Use of collected information
Aggregate statistics are collected regularly, including, but not limited to, the number of users during a specific period, the number of pages viewed and the amount of time spent on pages. These are published monthly in an internal report. The U4energy portal team will not divulge any data whatsoever for direct marketing purposes. The U4energy portal team will have access to subscriber email addresses and can modify and/or delete information as needed to maintain the integrity of the user database. Information such as user IP address, internet service provider (ISP), web browser, operating system, approximate times of use, referring site, and any similar data exchanged between a user's computer and the servers of the U4energy portal is collected on an aggregate basis, and no method exists to tie this information to a particular user account. This information is accessible only to the system administrators within the U4energy team and is used to ensure the broadest sense of compatibility and connectivity between users and the U4energy portal.
